Welcome to Lake Taupo Cricket Club

The Lake Taupo Cricket Club is the only dedicated cricket club in Taupo, catering to players of all levels across the Great Lake Taupo Region. Our activities are split between two excellent venues: Kaimanawa Reserve on the lakefront, and Owen Delany Park, home to some of the finest wickets in the Bay of Plenty.

Established in 2016, we've quickly become a strong presence in Bay of Plenty competitions. Our Premier, Reserve, and Academy squads offer opportunities for cricketers of all skills and aspirations, supporting both competitive success and personal development.

Alongside our on-field achievements, we place real emphasis on community and inclusivity. We're always keen to welcome new members — whether you're an experienced cricketer, new to the sport, or new to Taupo. We pride ourselves on a supportive, engaging environment where everyone can enjoy cricket and build lasting friendships.

A thrilling encounter saw the Roos come from behind to secure a crucial 1 point victory. Down by 12 points at halftime, captain Jake Morrison sparked the comeback with a brilliant individual goal in the late in the 3rd quarter. Young gun winger Tommy Chen sealed the win with a spectacular off-the-ground finish in the dying minutes. The defensive effort from Mike Stevens and Danny Walsh was outstanding, making crucial tackles when it mattered most.
